Robbie’s House Of Jazz is a new business located in the heart of Webster Groves, a suburb of St. Louis. The venue has its own official House Band and also features both, well-known and up coming jazz artists.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Matthews is currently touring with the world-famous Count Basie Orchestra. He initially joined the CBO under the direction of trombonist Grover Mitchell to fill the coveted chair of the late Freddie Green who was the guitarist in the group for over fifty years. Since joining the CBO, Matthews has played on numerous recordings and two “Grammy Winning” releases with the band. Matthews has performed with a who’s who of artists such as Joe Williams,Frank Foster, Benny Carter, Milt Jackson, George Benson, Kenny Burrell, Nancy Wilson, Patti Austin, Marlena Shaw, Tony Bennett, Dianne Reeves, Jimmy Cobb, Hank Jones and Nnenna Freelon; along with numerous TV broadcasts, etc.
